Heinz Hertl is special advisor of Bank Austria/Creditanstalt in matters of documentary business. He joined the documentary department of the bank in 1970 and since 1980 has been among other assignments responsible for all internal and external trading. Since 1982 he has been the Austrian delegate to the Banking Commission of the ICC and between 1995 and 1996 an expert on the group of experts of the ICC on matters of interpretation of UCP. He also has worked as delegate to the working group EDIFACT/Documentary Business of AUSTRIA PRO and has been writing publications and holding seminars and lectures on documentary matters.
