Karl Mayrl heads the department for documentary credit, collections and guarantees at Erste Bank der Oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG, Vienna, Austria (ERSTE BANK).
He began his career in the documentary department of Creditanstalt-Bankverein. In July 1980 he was recruited by Erste Bank and has managed the department since 1987, being in charge of documentary and guarantee operations around the globe for customers of Erste Bank Group Bank AG, Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG in Vienna and the Austrian Savings banks Group (Sparkassen).
Mr. Mayrl is a member of the ICC Banking commission and participates in national and international seminars by giving lectures and presentations for financial institutions and corporate customers.
